About the Blog

Rather Than Writing is a blog about creative writing.  The goal is that this blog will provide a useful outlet for writing advice as well as posts about other literary things, such as book reviews.

I am open for guest posts, so let me know if you’re interested in posting via email.

If there’s something you would like to see on the blog, leave a comment or send me an email at ratherthanwritingblog@gmail.com.

About Me

MeI’m a novelist, short story writer, and writing enthusiast.  I love all things literary, and I’m an avid reader.  I have a degree in Writing and Communications with a minor in Art.  I have a dog and a cat, and I love animals.  I thought I wanted to pursue a career in journalism, and after some experience in the field, I decided it wasn’t for me. I worked for a while as an executive at a large national corporation, but I’m happy to announce that  I now work as a full-time freelance writer.  I work with clients on a variety of writing needs, but I primarily work as a blogger. Writing and reading are my biggest passions, so I’m happy to dedicate my time and energy to creating a resource for other writers.

  1. You already know this, but I really enjoy your blog. I think we have a lot in common as writers, and its always nice to know that there are others going through the same pains in writing 🙂

Also… I’ve nominated you for the Liebster Award. The post is on my page with the details and instructions. Don’t feel like you “have” to do it though…it’s totally optional, and just a way of saying thanks for having an enjoyable blog 🙂

  2. Me again…I’ve tagged you in The Next Big Thing Blog Hop, which is basically a program created for writers to talk about their most recent projects (which is always fun). If you’re interested in participating, the details are on my blog 🙂
