Rather Than Writing is a blog about creative writing. The goal is that this blog will provide a useful outlet for writing advice as well as posts about other literary things, such as book reviews.

About Me
I’m a novelist, short story writer, and writing enthusiast. I love all things literary, and I’m an avid reader. I have a degree in Writing and Communications with a minor in Art. I have a dog and a cat, and I love animals. I thought I wanted to pursue a career in journalism, and after some experience in the field, I decided it wasn’t for me. I worked for a while as an executive at a large national corporation, but I’m happy to announce that I now work as a full-time freelance writer. I work with clients on a variety of writing needs, but I primarily work as a blogger. Writing and reading are my biggest passions, so I’m happy to dedicate my time and energy to creating a resource for other writers.

You already know this, but I really enjoy your blog. I think we have a lot in common as writers, and its always nice to know that there are others going through the same pains in writing 🙂
